Rock a sporty chic style to Wimbledon this year

what-to-wear-for wimbledon

Hey Guys!

It’s Rowena from here! In this guest post today, I’m bringing you some Wimbledon style inspo. I love getting all dressed up for a fancy occasion, but in the current British heatwave, you gotta be practical, right?

It’s all about the light colours and layers

The look I’ve chosen for Wimbledon this year a top and trousers combo, with a light jacket thrown over the top. Basking in the sunshine at a tennis game is lush, but these games can be unpredictable. So a light jacket can protect your delicate skin from the harsh rays if you find yourself at one of these never ending games!

Keep it hands free

It’s a given that there will be clapping, popping out to grab a drink and A LOT standing up and sitting down as people try to get past to their seat throughout the game. I’ve picked a cute, pastel pink bumbag and belted it around my waist so my essentials are with me at all times. I’m not usually one for a bumbag but I love the gold metal circle detail on the front of this one, which is really popular right now.

Stand out sunnies are a must!

If you feel the rest of your look is a little too Captain. Sensible, a glorious pair of sunglasses can take an outfit from zero to hero in seconds. This pair has a sweetheart frame over the classic circle lens shape. Pretty neat, huh?!

This whole outfit is top-to-toe New Look and available now. Yay!

  1. The colors in the stripes of those pants are awesome! I like the contrast. They seem like they can be worn for more casual events or dressed up pretty easily.

  2. I absolutely love your outfit. It is super chic and ideal for a sports event at Wimbledon. I love our choice of the bumbag, it is really practical and so girly.

  3. You didn’t really display the shirt but it is really cute! I love how it goes with your long striped pants. and that would be a whole other look! Interesting decision to have that jacket and bumbag aka fannypack? with you!
